Purpose

We are looking for a full-time Translation Coordinator to join our team to manage and coordinate with external translators to deliver high-quality and accurate translations of content relating to Travizory-managed websites, marketing content, and sales pitches and proposals.  

The Translation Coordinator will sit in the Marketing and Communications team and report to the International Marketing Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • Coordinate translation projects from initiation to completion, including assigning tasks to translators, editors, and proofreaders.
  • Manage the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of translation projects with internal translation requesters and external translation vendors.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and records, including project specifications, translation memories, and glossaries.
  • Apply project management techniques to ensure on-time, in-budget, high-quality deliverables.
  • Perform quality checks upon receipt of translation(s).
  • Ensure issues with quality and time management are flagged well in advance of deadlines and, working with the Manager, propose suggested ways forward
  • Stay updated on industry trends, language technologies, and best practices in translation and localization
  • Participate in other global language initiatives and actively contribute ideas and suggestions for improvement.
  • Additional tasks and special projects within the Marketing and Communications team as assigned.

Desired skills

  • Experience in the field of project management is required, preferably translation project management or coordination
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across different countries and locations
  • The ideal candidate must possess meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to follow instructions and provide regular updates to Management 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and proven ability to successfully manage a multitude of tasks, projects, and information simultaneously
  • Excellent knowledge of English is required
  • Knowledge of additional language(s) preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player and willingness to collaborate
  • Language industry experience preferred
